MIET and Beijing Information Science and Technology University (BISTU) signed memorandum on cooperation

On March 14-15, our University was visited by the representatives of the Beijing Information Science and Technology University (BISTU) - one of the top-rank universities in Beijing, the leader in technology and engineering in China. Prorector Gang Chen, deans Jiuhe Wang, Ming Huang and Mingli Dong, as well as representatives of the international office of the Chinese University Jie Mi and Chen Wang came to MIET on a delegation.

In a solemn ceremony rector of MIET Vladimir A. Bespalov and BISTU vice-rector Gang Chen signed a memorandum on cooperation, according to which the universities are going to open joint bachelor education programs. After 2-3 years of studying in Beijing, Chinese students will be able to continue their studies at MIET and eventually receive diplomas of the two universities.

During the visit the Chinese delegation also held talks with the leadership of the Institute of Microdevices and Control Systems, on the basis of which joint educational programs will be implemented in the fields of "Informatics and Computing Engineering" and "Management in Technical Systems".

Let us recall that last year Vice-Rector for International Affairs Dr. Dmitriy G. Kovalenko attended the Beijing Information Science and Technology University. During the visit, there were reached the agreements on the beginning of cooperation. The signing of the agreement was the next step in the development of partnership between the universities. In the future MIET and BISTU plan to cooperate fruitfully not only in the field of education, but also in scientific activities.

Cooperation between Russian and Chinese universities is conducted through the Russian-Chinese Foundation for Development of Culture, Education and Science.
