Physical Education
Physical education classes in MIET are mandatory. One of the key components of the upbringing of a harmoniously developed young mind at the University is the subject of PE. Health of the students, the formation of their desire for physical improvement and an overall healthy lifestyle is one of the main tasks of the Physical Education Department.
According to state standards, the program provides practical, theoretical and methodological-practical classes in a total of 400 hours. Physical Education classes are taught through the year 1-3 of a bachelor's degree programs twice a week. Students need to earn credit each semester. PE classes include training sessions and exams in accordance with the curriculum for the physical education subject.
MIET has a cumulative point system in all subjects. To get credit for PE, students need to score from 50 to 100 points. The score consists of attendance (45 points), passing the exams (40 points), activity during the classes, judging and participating in sport competitions (15 points).
Students can choose a sport they want to do from the following: swimming, basketball, volleyball, football, tennis, athletics, strength gymnastics, sambo wrestling, fitness, groups for preparing for the GTO standards, special wellness classes, therapeutic physical education.
Extracurricular activities include physical education classes and training in sports teams. All classes are free for students. All PE classes are held in the MIET sports complex. MIET has 10 university teams and 11 PE groups.
