MIET and Samsung Research Center signed a Memorandum on cooperation

In late March, the general director of LLC "Samsung Research Center" Lee Jin Wook and Vice-rector for Research of MIET Sergei A. Gavrilov signed a Memorandum on Cooperation. Its main goal is to develop new technologies in the field of sensorics and related areas of microelectronics.

Its top-priority goals are expected to be the development of new products and technologies for the sensors and elements of microelectronics engineering, including: the field of integrated photonics, non-invasive sensors for personal medicine, compact thermal imaging matrices for mobile devices, energy efficient sensors for the Internet of things, sensors for offline navigation for unmanned vehicles.

There were also identified possible forms of cooperation, among them: the implementation of joint scientific and technical projects within the framework of the MIET Research and Education Center (REC); the formation and promotion of start-ups; the use of the infrastructure facilities of REC MIET for the implementation of joint projects.
