In his complimentary speech the rector of MIET Yuri Chaplygin noted that Russians had always felt favor to Cuba and that our University would be glad to cooperate on every issue in which our partners are interested.
In respond to the speech Mr. Castro Diaz-Balart thanked for the opportunity to visit Zelenograd, the city which the Cuban revolution leader Fidel Castro visited in 70-s.
The visitors showed great interest to the achievements of the University in nanotechnology, biomedical systems, scientific instruments making and in distance education. The delegation visited the laboratories of Quantum Physics and Nanoelectronics chair, Biomedical Systems chair and Science of Materials and Physical Chemistry chair.
Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart devoted much time to the examination of nanotechnology laboratories. He said that Cuba couldn’t stand aside from the world tendency of nanotechnology study. In the interview the Cuban delegation leader also mentioned high level of MIET technological, research and educational equipment. He noted wide University’s opportunities in students training in electronics and IT.
