Within the framework of this event MIET representatives and executives of the Russian branch of ProCurve Networking by HP reported on the project of university information-technological infrastructure modernisation up to the up-to-date level. Here it should be mentioned that within the framework of Innovative Education Program MIET upgraded telecom equipment in the main premises of the university, created fiber-optics communication lines, DATA centre and a segment of wireless network. By December 2007 there will have been realised the rest of the project, i.e. there will be created a fiber-optics communication line through Zelenograd to MIET Students' Dormitory. After that MIET and IT Co. specialists will modernise the networking equipment, create a wireless segment and organise a reserve DATA-centre.

MIET, hp and IT Co. will carry on working on providing an easy access for the university students and employees to the network regardless the point and type of entry, which is closely connected with the development of uniform identification system and its integration into access control systems.
