MB JASS 2007
Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology and Munich Technical University (portal.mytum.de), one of the leading European technical universities, are the co-founders of this joint project.
At the MB-JASS grand opening the participants of the School were greeted by its Directors - MIET Rector Yuri Chaplygin from the Russian side and TUM Professor Ernst Mayr from the German side as well as by First Deputy Prefect of Zelenograd Alexei Mikhalchenkov.
The School worked in three main directions closely related with High Technologies: nanotechnologies and new materials in electronics, interactive graphics and computer design, biophysics. The working language of the School is English.
Representatives from Munich Technical University, Friedrich Alexander University (Nurnberg, Erlangen) and Wurtsburg University and students and leading professors of MIET, Lomonosov Moscow State University and Bauman Moscow State Technical University participated in the work of the School.
The first experience of MB-JASS 2006 in biomedicine and nanotechnology was highly appreciated by Russian and German participants, which resulted in further development of the School, so this year witnessed the increased number of participants. Over 20 students and tutors from Germany and 40 from Russia will take part in the School this year.
Mikron, Scientific Technical Centre ELINS, Belis, NT-MTD, Smartlogic, Kalugapribor sponsored the School from the Russian side. Bavarian Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Transport and Technologies, siemens AG, Bavarian Research Foundation and BayHost Programme of Eastern Europe backed the School from the German side.
