MIET and ETH Zurich cooperate in field of science and innovation
In february 2019 the top management of National Research University MIET visited the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology - ETH Zurich. Rector Vladimir A. Bespalov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Dmitry G. Kovalenko, Director of the Institute of Biomedical Systems Sergei V. Selishchev and Head of the Financial and Economic Department Sergei M. Portnov represented MIET during this visit.
ETH Zurich is traditionally included in the lists of the best universities in the world and Europe. When ranking universities in terms of teaching certain subjects, it is among the 12 best universities in the world in natural and engineering science in the Times Higher Education ranking. In the 2019 QS World University Rankings 2019 ETH Zurich takes 7th place among world Universities.
During the negotiations between the universities, an agreement on further cooperation was reached, primarily in support of the development of technological start-ups, the mobility of young scientists and research activities.
Moreover, Swiss colleagues are interested in the prospect of cooperation with the Institute of MIET Biomedical Systems in the field of medical electronics. So, the delegation of our university visited a number of ETH laboratories of biomedical sensors and outlined a plan of cooperation.
