MIET President held a meeting of the Association of universities on electronic component base at the ExpoElectronica exhibition
The 22nd International exhibition of electronic components, modules and systems ExpoElectronica 2019 was held from 15th to 17th of April at the exhibition center "Crocus Expo". MIET presented its developments at two stands – the stand of the Association of universities on electronic component base (ECB) and the stand of Zelenograd nanotechnology center (ZNTC). A special place in the exhibition was given to the projects of the Center for National Technology Initiative (NTI) “Sensory”.
On Wednesday, as part of the business program of the event, there was held an extended meeting of the Association of universities engaged in training in the field of electronic industry. MIET President Y.A. Chaplygin, a Chairman of the Board of the Association of universities on electronic component base, gave a report on the work of the Association for the training of personnel for the enterprises of electronic industry. He noted that the purpose of the Association is to consolidate the efforts of universities to train highly qualified personnel in the field of design and production of electronic component base, and today the Association has already have 18 organizations located in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladimir, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don (Taganrog), Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saratov, Omsk, Tomsk, Yaroslavl. The participants also considered the main legal acts in the field of higher education and the formats of the Association, the main of which are the meetings of the Council and scientific and methodological seminars. These seminars are usually attended by foreign CAD developers in the field of IC design and on-chip systems, such as Cadence, Synopsys and Mentor Graphics.
The scientific and educational centers of these companies, established in recent years, successfully work at MIET, regularly conduct scientific and methodological seminars for interested industry experts and representatives of universities.
ExpoElectronica is the largest exhibition of electronic components and technological equipment in Russia and Eastern Europe, held in Moscow since 1998.
