Graduates of the joint master's program of MIET and Synopsys were awarded diplomas
On June 20 MIET held a solemn ceremony of awarding master's diplomas to graduates of the international master's program "Automated design of submicron VLSI and systems on a chip" under the program Synopsys-MIET. During the official part of the event, vice-rector for International Affairs and Youth Relations D. G. Kovalenko, corresponding member of the NAS of the Republic of Armenia, Director of the Educational Department of CJSC "Synopsis-Armenia", honorary Professor of MIET V. Sh. Melikyan and General Director of LLC "Synopsis" E. Ivanov congratulated the graduates on their successful completion and wished them success. Vazgen Melikyan made a speech about the problems of overheating and cooling when using FinFET integrated circuits.
The educational center of Synopsys-MIET was opened in 2006. Since 2006 more than 200 graduates of the program received MIET diplomas and Synopsys certificates. This graduation is the 12th. To realize this master program MIET has a special computer classroom with complex Synopsys software and libraries of technological files for 90nm and 32/28nm. The students can receive an additional scholarship.
In 2016 the program received certificates of RUSNANO, professional-public accreditation of the Association for Engineering Education of Russia (AEER) and the European Network for Accreditation in Engineering education (ENAEE) and was awarded the European Quality Mark of Engineering Education EUR-ACE in the international registers ENAEE and FEANI (Fédération Européenne d'Associations Nationales d'Ingénieurs). Graduates have the opportunity to pass the certification of engineering qualifications and qualify for the title of "European Engineer" (EurIng) and European ENGCard.
