The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Myanmar visited MIET
During his visit to Russia, the Chief of the General Staff of The Tatmadaw (the official name of the Armed Forces of Myanmar), General Mya Tun U, met with rector of MIET Vladimir A. Bespalov and the vice-rectors of the university. The partners discussed the results of cooperation in recent years and talked about the possibilities of expanding partnerships in the field of education and science. After the negotiations the Chief of Staff met with Myanmar students.
MIET has been teaching students from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar since 2002. During this time, our university trained more than 600 masters, more than 60 candidates of sciences and 1 doctor of science. More than 50 university graduates are currently teaching at the Academy of Defense of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
