MIET student won the international contest “IT-Planet”
Viktor Mikhailov, a second-year postgraduate student of the Department of Telecommunication Systems, has won Huawei's “Mobile Broad Band Technologies and Equipment” finale program held within “IT-Planet 2018/19”, the 12th international contest.
More than 300 students and young graduates passed the selection tests during the 2018/19 academic year and participated in the final stage of the contest held from October 4 to 7 at NUST MISiS. The finalists represented colleges and universities from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. The event was attended by 90 employees of educational institutions.
This contest is one of the biggest IT events established in the Russian Federation. It is aimed at bringing together educational institutions and businesses in Russia as well as other CIS countries to improve the quality of IT education. The Presidential Grants Fund supported the "IT-Planet 2018/19" contest by providing a grant of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society. The event was also supported by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects (ASI) ANO in the direction of Young Professionals.
