The Ministry of science and higher education RF grants MIET subsidy to the building of a new dormitory
According to the order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation dated September 1, 2020 (item 27), a four-story hotel-type dormitory equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable living will be built opposite MIET. The project will be completed by 2023.
Three buildings of the same style will be connected by an aerial bridge. The dormitory will meet all modern requirements of comfort and safety, including living conditions for citizens with disabilities. To the South of the future dormitory site there is a forest. Moreover there are plans to plant lots of trees and bushes as well as to build recreation and sports areas.
«The new dormitory in Zelenograd with a total area of more than 11 thousand square meters will accommodate 500 students. The building fits well into the existing urban environment thanks to its facade solutions: the designers chose brick tiles and panels of warm pastel shades for the cladding», explaines Sergey Kuznetsov, chief architect of Moscow, first Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Committee for architecture and urban planning.
