Young scientists from MIET, IGIC RAS and IOS UB RAS received a grant from the Russian Science Foundation
The Russian Science Foundation awarded grants for the research projects implemented by leading scientists, including young scientists.
Among the winners there is a joint project of scientists from MIET (Moscow, Zelenograd), IOS UB RAS (Yekaterinburg) and IGIC RAS (Moscow) called “Molecular design and synthesis of organic dyes with the D-π-A structure based on thieno[3,2-b] indole to be used in dye-sensitized solar cells for architecturally integrated photovoltaic systems” (Project number: 22-73-00291). The project leader is Nikita Tolkach, a researcher at the Institute of AMT.
For the next 2 years the scientists are going to develop new metal-free organic materials with the structure of D-π-A compounds based on the thieno[3,2-b]indole fragment, study the methods of their molecular design and synthesis, and experimentally establish their functional characteristics. All developed and synthesized materials will be tested as part of fabricated dye-sensitized solar cells.
