Progress in the construction of the new dormitory and MIET innovation center

MIET has been witnessing an active construction next to the university campus for the second year. There are two different sites: of the new dormitory and of Innovation Center for Design, Engineering, Technology Transfer and Specialized Training in electronics. New facilities will help to attract young talented people to MIET, expand the university's opportunities for science and innovation, as well as form scientific and educational cluster for advanced training of researchers and engineers in the field of electronics and information technologies within the framework of the "Priority 2030" project.

New dormitory

The construction of the dormitory is proceeding in accordance with the stated period. At the moment, all ground works have been completed, and the process of wall construction has begun.

The dormitory will include three four-stored buildings that can accommodate more than 400 people.

New buildings of the innovation center

There will be laboratories for fundamental research, engineering companies, and technology startups at the new building of the innovation center. MIET students will have opportunities to improve their professional competencies, acquire practical skills and the necessary experience for successful work in high-tech companies. Partner companies will get quick access to technological services, MIET researchers will get the opportunity to test and implement advanced developments etc.

There will be two buildings behind the main university campus: five-stored and eleven-stored. At the moment, the walls of the five-stored building have been constructed, finishing work is in progress. The fourth floor of the eleven-stored one is under construction.

The new dormitory and the first building of the Innovation Center are planned to be put into operation by the end of 2023.
