Scientists of the Institute of Advanced Materials and Technologies took part in Saint Petersburg OPEN 2023
Saint Petersburg OPEN is an international school and conference on electrooptics, photonics, and nanostructure that was organized with the help of Nobel laureate Zhores Alferov and has been held since 2014.
The students of the Institute of Advanced Materials and Technologies Natalia Litovchenko, Shakhboz Isokzhanov, and Maksim Shiriaev participated in the 10th Saint Petersburg OPEN 2023 that took place at the end of May. They presented the results of their own scientific research and got acquainted with scientists from other university. In total, the conference hosted more than 276 people from 22 cities.
After the poster session, Maksim Shiriaev was awarded with a certificate for the best presentation on the topic “Effect of Al-CuO multilayer thermite structures thickness on combustion behavior”.
Maksim is sure that participating in conferences is very useful to develop the topic under study, search for flaws and improve the quality of the research. In his postgraduate studies, Maxim plans to study many other factors that can affect the burning of multi-layer Al-CuO thermite structures.
The conference is aimed at making young researchers familiar with current problems and achievements in the field of physics and semiconductor devices and to give them an opportunity to gain experience in public presentations, submission of scientific papers for publications, and exchanging ideas.
