The MCS Institute among the AGROS best
riculture market development. The results were announced this December, a total of 120 applications were submitted for the competition.
The MIET's team received an award for the Smart Farm system developed at the NTI Competence center "Sensorica". The Smart Farm works with the help of sensor elements (boluses) placed in the first part of the stomach of a cow. They measure animal parameters and the data is transmitted to the base station. Special software processes the obtained data and determines the probability of cattle's diseases, the timing of biological cycles and other health indicators, among them deviations in drinking habits and the presence of limps.

The scientific development was carried out by software engineer Denis Baiguzov, electronics engineer Ilya Efremov, leading engineer and associate professor of the MCS Institute Vladislav Kurganov, project manager and associate professor Konstantin Lyalin, the project executive and assistant professor Vladimir Zhmylev. Senior researcher Dmitry Pavkin and researcher Fyodor Vladimirov of the Federal Scientific Agroengineering Center VIM also participated in the project.
MIET representatives will make presentations at the International "AGROS-2024 Expo" on January 24-26 at the Crocus Expo in Moscow. Associate Professor of the Institute of Advanced Materials and Technologies Sergey Dubkov will be a speaker at the round table "Modern solutions for epizootic safety in animal husbandry". Vladimir Zhmylev will speak at the seminar "Market overview of devices for individual control of cattle's behavior and health".
Congratulations to the research team on winning and wishes of further success!
