MIET students successfully completed Summer Program in Malaysia
From July 20 to 26 students from MIET took part in a Summer week-long cultural exchange program organized by TAR UMT University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The main goal of the trip was not only to get acquainted with the academic environment of one of Southeast Asia's leading universities but also to establish international contacts through live communication in English. Our students found common language with peers from Malaysia and China. Joint classes and extracurricular activities allowed the young people to make new friends.
The program was packed: in addition to immersing themselves in the cultural environment, MIET students began learning the basics of the Malay language. The cultural part of the visit left vivid impressions, the students visited the famous Petronas Twin Towers, explored the country's history at the National Museum and visited the historic city of Malacca. The participants were particularly delighted by a masterclass on a traditional Malaysian art – batik painting, where everyone could show their creative abilities.
The Summer program allowed our students not only to broaden their geographical horizons but also to gain valuable experience in a new academic environment. Upon successful completion the MIET students received certificates of participation in the Summer Program.
