MIET's Student Sports Club "Electron" earns gold certification

This year marked the second season of the Russian Association of Student Sports Clubs (АССК России) certification programme for university sports clubs. 152 clubs from across the country took part in the 2025/2026 season, and only 40 received the gold status.

Among the gold‑certified clubs is MIET's very own Student Sports Club "Electron". 

The Russian Association of Student Sports Clubs certification programme evaluates club performance against current student sports standards. Its goal is to promote the development of sporting infrastructure, strengthen the sport culture, and enhance clubs' online presence.

"Achieving gold status is excellent recognition of our work. Dynamic progress would be impossible without the proactive MIET students who are passionate about sports and coaching our teams. A dedicated community of like‑minded people plays a crucial role in any endeavour. With each month and each season, our sports club only grows stronger!" says Igor Kharitonov, president of the "Electron" club.
