On February, 7th at MIET Dr. Luis Velasco’s 1st lecture within the framework of project TEMPUS took place
From February 7th until February 18th Dr. Luis Velasco from the Polytechnic University of Catalunya (UPC) gives lectures within the framework of TEMPUS at MIET. The Series of lectures in English is devoted to “Mathematical models for the description and design of multilayer IP/DWDM networks”.
Students, Masters, postgraduate students and teachers are invited to attend the lectures.
On February, 14th at MIET a course of another Spanish teacher, Professor Jordi Domingo-Pascual starts on the topic “The Internet of a new generation”.
The lectures are held in the framework of TEMPUS “Modernization of the Masters program “Computer Networks and Telecommunications”.
We will remind students, that in the future the MIET Chair of Telecommunication Systems and the University UPC plan to organize joint training of Masters. The first year of education will be held at MIET, the second year – at the Polytechnic University of Catalunya in Spain. As a result of successful completion of the program and defense of Masters dissertation the student will receive diplomas from both universities. Apart from the Russian universities and UPC, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the New University of Lisbon (UNL – Universidade Nova de Lisboa) take part in the project.
Academics from the Siberian Federal University, Tomsk Polytechnic University and Irkutsk State Technical University will also attend lectures.
