Anatoly Chubais informed Vladimir Putin about plans of cooperation for OAO RUSNANO, Plastic Logic and MIET

RUSNANO CEO Anatoly Chubais introduced to Prime-Minister Vladimir Putin a new domestic development – pad PC. He suggests using the novelty in the sphere of education. Actually, a whole set of textbooks for all school subjects up to the sixth grade was already loaded into the device.

«One thousand of these devices will undergo tests in several regions of our country from September 1st» – Chubais said at the meeting with Putin. «This high-tech electronic device is made on the basis of plastic without silicon. It is injury-free and corresponds to all sanitary requirements. Actually, it is electronic paper».

According to A.B. Chubais, if the experiment proves successful, mass production of these pad PCs will be launched. «Now construction of a plant has begun in Zelenograd. That will lead us to the mass production on greater scale all over Russia», – Chubais said. He also mentioned that a «research centre is established in MIET to develope the technology and promote it».

Chubais specified that it will be possible to use the pad later not only in education.
