Lectures of the world leading scientists in the sphere of nanotechnology and photonics were held in MIET
On September 16 Cultural Center MIET hosted a set of lectures of the world leading specialists in the sphere of nanoelectronics, photonics and alternative energy. Classes for students and postgraduates were held on the final day of the fifth international Forum Nano and Giga Challenges in Electronics, Photonics and Renewable Energy 2011.
Representatives of the world largest Universities and laboratories made reports on modern perception and recent achievements in high-tech industry branches.
The first conference of Nano and Giga series was held also in Moscow in 2002. More than 400 participants including more than 100 scientists from 24 countries joined the event. The results were published in a book and 2 special issues of scientific magazines Microelectronic Engineering and Computational Materials Science. The followed conferences were held in the world largest Universities.
The main organisers of the fifth international conference were MSU, Russian company NT-MDT — leading manufacturer of research and nanotechnology equipment — and American consulting company Nano and Giga Solutions, working in the sphere of international research, educational and innovation projects.
A few hundreds of students and postgraduates attended the lectures read by large European and American specialists. The lectures evidently arouse great interest judging by the questions to each speaker.
