"Double degree" program with Linnaeus University (Sweden) was presented to MIET students

As a part of the agreement signed between MIET and Linnaeus University, students of "Applied Mathematics" (Computer Science and Telecommunications department) are able to become members of the "double degree". The University is located in Växjö and Kalmar (Sweden) and enrolls more than 35,000 people.

Prof. of Linnaeus University A.U.Khrennikov told the students about the educational program. The meeting was also attended by Vice-rector S.V.Umnyashkin and Head of VM-1 Chair A.A. Prokofiev.

Next semester students can join distant course and choose one of the subjects: financial mathematics, waves and systems, mathematical methods of quantum mechanics, quantum cryptography etc. Each student gets credits for the work. After the successful mastering of the course the best students (according to the rating and credits) will go to Sweden and continue training at Linnaeus University.

According to the agreement training is free.

Cooperation between universities became possible due to Andrei Yurevich Khrennikov personal initiative.

Last year MIET also signed an agreement on the "double degree" programs with University of Calabria (Italy) and Glindor University (UK). MIET plans to increase the number of international educational programs for students.
