MIET delegation participated in the Russian-Bavarian Conference on Biomedical Engineering RBC-2012
On May 29-31 St. Petersburg hosted the VIII Russian-Bavarian Conference on Biomedical Engineering RBC-2012, organized by Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI”, MIET, Bauman MSTU and Friedrich-Alexander University (Erlangen, Germany).
Scientists, graduates and students from the chair of biomedical systems and Center for Probe microscopy and nanotechnology took part in the conference. The delegation was headed by Vice-rector for International Affairs and IT Prof. S.V. Umnyashkin.
The leading world experts in medical technology Prof. V.M Kutuzov, Prof. B. Hensel, Professor H. Foyssner, Prof. S.V. Selishchev, Prof. S.I. Shchukin reported during the plenary sessions.
MIET representatives reported on systems and equipment for therapy and diagnostics, biomaterials and artificial organs, medical imaging and signal processing, as well as micro- and nanotechnology in biomedical engineering.
First International Russian-Bavarian Conference was held in 2005 at Technical University in Munich. Next conferences took place by turn in the leading German and Russian universities. MIET hosted RBC in 2008.
