MIET was visited by the Ambassador of the Union Myanmar in Russia
A foreign delegation, headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Russia visited MIET on February 12.
Mister Tin Yu met with the rector of the university Yu.A. Chaplygin, the vice-rector for International Affairs and IT S.V. Umnyashkin and the head of International Relations Division I.I. Ponomareva.
At the beginning of conversation rector of MIET Yu.A. Chaplygin thanked guests for the honor and congratulated them on a holiday – the Day of the Union of Myanmar, which is celebrated on February 12. Yury Aleksandrovich noted high interest of students from Myanmar to study, and the fact that this academic year at MIET there was the first doctoral candidate from Myanmar – Chzho Ze JE. He acted as interpreter during the negotiations.
Vice-rector S.V. Umnyashkin expressed interest of MIET in further expansion of the educational program and wished that graduates of MIET brought real help in development of high technologies in the Republic Myanmar. In 10 years more than 600 students were trained at our university.
After conversation the delegation went to MIET concert hall where the festive concert in honor of the Day of the Department of Foreign Citizens Training took place. The program began with solemn performance of the anthem of the Republic of the Union Myanmar. By tradition, students of FCT together with other students prepared bright dancing and music turns.
