Department of Intellectual Technical Systems (ITS) was created In MIET

By the order of rector of National research university «MIET» Yuri A. Chaplygin the department of Electronic technologies materials and equipment is reorganized into the department of Intellectual Technical Systems (ITS) since January 1, 2013.

Department of Intellectual technical systems of MIET (ITS) is one of the four technical departments. There are three entrance exams for the faculty: Mathematics, Russian language and Physics.

The dean of ITS, Dr, professor V.M. Roschin noted: "Training of specialists at the department refers to the high-tech industries, which, in turn, change over time. Gradually accumulate changes that must somehow be reflected. The name of the faculty didn’t correspond to the sphere of activity of our graduates any more, as it was 10-15 years ago. In this regard there was a need for renaming".

At the department of ITS will be carried out preparation of bachelors and masters in the following directions:

• 221000 «Mechatronics and robotics»;
• 220400 «Management in technical systems»;
• 211000 «Design and technology of electronic means»;
• 280700 «Technological safety»;
• 150100 «Materials science and technology of materials».

It’s important to remind that in connection with the creation of the new department its chairs were also reorganized.

The updated programs of preparation, modern approaches to the training and the most demanded directions of the training will allow the faculty of ITS to become one of the leaders among MIET faculties on GPAs of future first-year students.
