MIET hosted the first defences of graduation projects within the framework of the Glyndwr University "double degree" program
On 20 May 19 participants of the “double degree” program presented their master’s thesis in English. Glyndwr University(UK) sent a delegation to MIET to estimate their projects: Prof. Viktor Grout, Senior Lecturer Denise Oram, Senior Lecturer John Davies, teacher John Vorden and Senior Lecturer Yuri Vagapov.
We would remind you that in summer 2012 the participants of this program spent six weeks in Britain MA course and successfully mastered the “summer semester” in Computer Science. Each student was supervised by an academic advisor from Glyndwr University. At the end of the defences university representatives noted high level of the projects and variety of topics. The delegation wished the students to develop their skills of making an effective presentation.
A solemn graduation ceremony will be held in autumn at Glyndwr University.
In the framework of a joint educational program Glyndwr University will host the second group of MIET students in June and July 2013.
We should note that as a result of cooperation between MIET and Glyndwr University the curricula of our engineering departments are fully recognized by the British university. This means that MIET graduates can enter Glyndwr University without additional procedures of comparing the curricula.
