MIET graduate, cosmonaut Sergey Revin was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation

On July 31 President of Russia Vladimir Putin presented state awards in Kremlin. V. Putin awarded artists, astronauts, businessmen, military personnel, and representatives of other professions, who had made a significant contribution to the development in various spheres of state life. In total, prize list included 58 people.

MIET graduate Sergey Revin, the test cosmonaut from Yu.A. Gagarin Research and Test Cosmonaut Training Center, received the highest state award of the country -- Hero of the Russian Federation and Pilot-Cosmonaut of the Russian Federation.

“Oleg Novitsky, Sergey Revin, Evgeny Tarelkin received an award “Hero of the Russian Federation” for their courage and faultless realization of the most difficult tasks in orbit”, says V. Putin at the awards ceremony.

Moreover G. Padalka, Y. Malenchenko, O. Kononenko, A. Leonov and S. Savitskaya also received state awards. They are members of Russian legendary astronauts.
