The Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar visited the Day of International Students Department
On February 12, Myanmar people celebrate a national holiday - Myanmar Union Day. This day MIET concert hall hosted a concert devoted to the Day of International Students Department. It was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Union of Myanmar in Russia Mr. Ting Yu accompanied by his wife and advisers.
At the meeting with MIET rector Mr. Ting Yu expressed his gratitude to Yuri A. Chaplygin for the work with students from the Union of Myanmar and the attentive relation to them.
The Ambassador also visited the exhibition in Museum of MIET history and science and culture exhibition prepared by students from Myanmar in MIET concert hall.
The festival started with the solemn speech of S.A. Lupin, the dean of the department. Mr. Lupin and other MIET professors and employees were awarded special prizes by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
About 150 Myanmar students and doctoral students from other universities in Moscow visited the concert that day. Altogether the hall gathered more than 500 spectators to watch a performance, full of national colour of the southern country.
