Students of Information security Chair won the International Olympiad "Infotelekom- 2015"
The third International Olympiad "Infotelecom-2015" is supported by the Federal Communications Agency and the Committee on IT and Communication of the Government of St. Petersburg.
The selection round witnessed over 500 third- and fourth-year students from Russia and CIS countries. The competition committee invited 100 of them to the final, in SPb SUT on April 28-29.
Students from 15 regions of Russia took part in the internal round. The competition included the following topics:
- Architecture, technologies, protocols of communication networks;
- Wireless and mobile networks, radio organization;
- Information security;
- Information and communication technology services and software engineering.
Seven four-year MIET students of Computer Science and Telecommunications department took part in the finals in the category of "Information security". All of them entered the top ten, and three of them were the winners:
1st prize - Vladislav Moiseev;
2nd prize - Alexander Karnyuhin;
3rd prize - Igor Vaulin.
