Scientists of the Biomedical Systems Chair actively participated in the 11th German-Russian Conference on Biomedical Engineering
The 11th German-Russian Conference on Biomedical Engineering took place on 16 - 21 of June 2015 at Helmholtz Institute, RWTH Aachen University.
This year’s conference was focus on:
• Biomaterials, implants, artificial organs
• Processing and analysis of biomedical signals and data
• Computer aided medical procedures
• Simulation and training
• Surgical workflow analysis and prediction
• Mechatronics and biomedical engineering
• Biomedical imaging and image processing
Each year members of the Biomedical Systems Chair of MIET actively participate in this conference. This year representatives of the chair headed by prof. Sergei Selishchev made 20 sectional presentations and one plenary presentation on the new project "Design principles for wearable artificial kidneys".
In total there were 58 presentations from both sides. The international scientific community highly appreciated the level of training of MIET speakers. Thus, the report of 4th year student Alexander Polokhin "Development of sensors based on carbon nanotubes of the IR radiation in the biomedical applications" won the second prize.
The participants also got acquainted with the activities of innovation infrastructure of the RWTH Aachen University, which is one of the top five universities in Europe and one of the best technical universities in Germany, and shared experiences in the implementation of bioengineering projects.
The next year the conference will take place at Vladimir State University.
