The MIET "Electron" curling sports team took third place in the Russian Championship among students

The first official curling championship among students in Russia took place in Dmitrov from 7 to 11 April 2016. Members of the "Electron" MIET sports team participated in the male part of the tournament. There were also teams from MAI, DINO (Dmitrov), MIPT, MGAFK and PRUE.

As a part of our team Evgenii Tavyrikov, Stanislav Babkov, Aleksandr Shmukler, Mikhail Sirotkin, Georgii Moskvitin and Filipp Uskov provided a worthy performance and honorably represented MIET and Zelenograd in this Championship. Our sportsmen were outmatched only by Dmitrov University of Continuing Education (DINO) and Moscow State Sports Academy (MGAFK) which took first and second place respectively.

Formerly our sportsmen won first place in Moscow Curling Championship among students 2015/16 having outmatched 7 Moscow university teams.
