The Scientific Council voted in favour of Yury Chaplygin for the post of the University president

In 2015 MIET Academic Council took the decision to establish the post of the university president. The procedure of candidates nomination and election for the position is provided by the charter of the University and MIET president policy directive, passed by the Scientific Council on April 20, 2016.

On June 2 there was the only issue on the agenda for the Academic Council - the election of MIET president. The only candidate was the acting rector - Yury A. Chaplygin.

Voting results: 52 votes "for", no votes "against" nor invalid ballots.
