Representatives of Indian leading industrial enterprises visit MIET
From 21 to 23 November MIET hosted the delegation from India, including representatives of the Indo-Russian Chamber of Commerce, the first Indian medical science park «Frontier Mediville», University Periyar Maniammai and INMA INTERNATIONAL LIMITED company. Delegation was headed by the vice-president of the Indo-Russian Chamber of Commerce, Professor Appathukatha Sivathanu Pillai.
The main aim of the visit was to discuss issues related to the cooperation and co-production of circulatory assist device. The delegation was very interested in MIET project - the First Russian LVAD Sputnik, which is already successfully used in Russia and saves the lives of patients waiting for a heart transplant.
Guests were greeted by Vice-rector for Research S.A.Gavrilov, Vice-rector for International Affairs and Youth Relation D.G.Kovalenko and the head of the Biomedical Systems Chair S.V.Selischev.
After the visit both sides agreed to continue the work on a joint project to develop, manufacture and certify the apparatus for its further sales in India.
