MIET young scientists win President grants

Council for Awards of the President of the Russian Federation summed the contest results up for the right to get in the 2017-2018 President grants for state support of young Russian scientists.

The winners in the category «Technical and engineering sciences» 2017 were three MIET representatives - two Candidates of Sciences and one Doctor of Sciences:

• Doctor of Technical Sciences Alexei N. Belov for the research of formation mechanisms of pyroelectric polymers and composites for highly sensitive uncooled thermal imaging devices;

• Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Alexander Y. Gerasimenko for the work «Nanotechnology of creation of biocompatible composite material for the restoration of the joints ligaments by laser 3D prototyping»;

• Candidate of Technical Sciences Maxim V. Silybin for the study of the relationship between the crystal structure and electromechanical properties of solid solutions of bismuth ferrite.
