The lecture of the world-famous scientist is held In MIET
Within the project "Public lecture" MIET hosted a lecture by Professor Valery Viktorovich Tuchina – a honored scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, the head of the Optics and Biophotonics Department in Saratov State University, the head of the officially recognized leading Russian scientific school.
Professor Tuchin is the world-famous scientist in the field of biological and medical physics, biophotonics, biomedical optics, laser spectroscopy and rendering in biomedicine, as well as physics of optical and laser measurements.
The lecture entitled «Biological tissue optics and optical clearing» was organized by the Department of Biomedical Systems with the support of SPIE MIET CHAPTER.
As part of the lecture the following issues were examined:

peculiarities of light propagation in biological tissues;
- laser microspectral analysis in biomedical research;
- measurement and control of optical properties of biological tissues.
After the lecture, the head of the BMS Department Professor S.V. Selishchev and Professor V.V. Tuchin had negotiations on the development of partnerships with the laboratory of laser diagnostics of technical and living systems of the Institute of Fine Mechanics and Control of Russian Academy of Sciences. The meeting helped to reached an agreement on cooperation in the field of biomedical optics and biophotonics.
