MIET student takes the second place in the International Student Olympiad "Infotelecom" 2017

On April 19-20, The Bonch-Bruevich St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications hosted the intramural tour of the V International Student Olympiad in the field of information technologies and telecommunications "Infotelecom" - 2017.

The Olympiad was organized by St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications with the support of the Federal Communications Agency and the Committee on IT and Communication of St. Petersburg Government.

The 3-4 year bachelor students and 1 year master students who had education in the field of infocommunication technologies, radio engineering, information security and telecommunications took part in the Olympiad.

The final included 120 best students, 30 for each department:
- Infrastructure, technologies and services of infocommunication networks;
- Wireless and mobile communication networks, organization of radio access;
- Infocommunication technologies in services and services, software engineering;
- Information Security.

MIET Students of the Information Security Department took part in the Olympiad in the area of Information Security.
There were finalists 6 universities in this area, among them - three MIET students: Oleg Voinov, Dmitry Babchuk and Karina Pilyugina.

In the intramural tour MIET student Dmitry Babchuk took 2nd place.
