China hostes the competition "Time to study in Russia!"
On April 18-27, China held a series of events dedicated to the project "Time to study in Russia!" which were oriented on increase of interest of Chinese students to get education in Russia. This year funded places were singled out for winner of math competition. The obligatory condition for participation in the qualifying test was the presence of positive ratings in the school leaving certificate of the graduate.
In total, 13 Russian universities from Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Perm, Novosibirsk and Novocherkassk take part in the program "Time to study in Russia".
Representatives of Russian universities held the math competitions in several cities: Zibo (Shandong province), Shangqiu (Henan province), Taiyuan, Linfen (Shanxi province).
During the visit, there were meetings with representatives of the departments of education of cities and provinces, as well as with school principals. In the framework of the project "Time to study in Russia!" there was held the "IV-th Russian-Chinese seminar" aimed at developing of international educational cooperation in Taiyuan city.
The members of the Russian delegation made as well speech in several schools, where they told about peculiarities of education in Russia and provided detailed presentations about the universities. Schoolchildren and their parents had the opportunity to ask questions and talk with representatives of universities.
