MIET beach volleyball team took 5/6 places in the European Universities Championship

The European Universities beach volleyball championship, which took place from 25 to 30 July in Split, Croatia, finished.

MIET team was the only Russian team in the championship, the University was represented by Ekaterina Okhrimenko and Maria Makarova. During the championship, the girls played 7 matches, 5 of which they managed to win. According to the results of competitions our students took 5/6 place; O.A. Bondareva, the coach of the team, was awarded a medal for participation.

The girls were selected for the European championship on the basis of the student’s Championship of Russia of last year.

This year on the all-Russian competitions in beach volleyball among students, which took place on July 15-16 in Moscow, our athletes won the third place for MIET.
