Every fourth graduate of 2023 received an honours degree

July 7 was the Graduation Day in MIET held on Shokin Square. This year, 939 people has graduated from MIET. Among the undergraduates 112 people received an honours degree, among the postgraduates there are 107 honours degrees.

Before the ceremony part Rector Vladimir Bespalov had awarded 100 best graduates of this year. Among them were winners of competitions and conferences, holders of patents and grants, proactive participants in the university life, athletes defending the honor of MIET at sport competitions. Vladimir Bespalov awarded them with honorary certificates and gifts.

At the ceremony the guests were greeted by Art Music Brass Band. They performed jazz covers of popular compositions of different genres: from the soundtracks of cult movies to Russian rock.

The official part began with a speech by the Rector. Vladimir Bespalov congratulated the graduates, wished them success in their professional life.

"We are always here for you. Don't lose touch with each other and with the university. The Alumni Association is always ready to help you. Good luck, sound health to you all and be happy" – Vladimir Bespalov said from the stage. This was followed by the traditional signing of a higher education diploma. This year it was red.

Throughout the evening, photo areas, various activities and sweet treats from the MIET Alumni Association were offered to graduates and guests.
