The "Moscow Technical School" project started a new educational program "Nanomaterials Engineering" (Microelectronics and Photonics). It was developed jointly with MIET.

Students of the program will learn how to develop technologies for obtaining nanomaterials and nanostructures, modify their properties, determine the mechanical, physical and chemical properties, evaluate the structure and phase composition. They will also learn the basics of automating technological operations and measuring processes, and learn how to choose application software for such work.

Students will receive a degree of professional retraining with the qualification of "industrial engineer".

"Our microelectronics companies are currently experiencing a shortage of qualified employees. This issue became even more urgent after the resolution by the Russian Government to create an electronic component base independent of foreign developers and suppliers. A professional educational retraining program, which we launched jointly with the Moscow Technical school, allows us to teach microelectronic production technologists, bringing us closer to overcoming the issue," said MIET's Vice-Rector for Research and Director of the Institute of Advanced Materials and Technologies Sergey Gavrilov.

The Moscow Technical School is a project created by the Moscow Government in 2021.
