MIET's Olympiad in Physics and Mathematics 2023-2024
MIET annually organizes its own academic competition — Olympiad in Physics and Mathematics. The Olympiad is not just a nation-wide event that takes place in regions all across Russia, but students from the Commonwealth of Independent States can also take part in it. This year, there were more than 2,100 participants from 46 regions of Russia, as well as six countries — Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Uzbekistan.
The Olympiad finals were held on January 27-28 at 13 different venues, including MIET itself. Those who could not attend in person solved the tasks online.
The winners will receive 8 or 10 individual achievement points, that are taken into account upon admission to MIET. In addition, the MIET's Olympiad serves as a qualifying round of the "Phystech" Olympiad in the "Engineering" section from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
