MIET's projects at the AGROS-2024
Representatives of the Institute of Advanced Materials and Technologies and the Institute of Microdevices and Control Systems took part in the International "AGROS-2024 Expo", which took place on January 24-26 at the Crocus Expo in Moscow.
The university presented two innovative projects: "Smart Farm. Cattle health monitoring system" and "Modern solutions for epizootic safety in animal husbandry". In addition, MIET scientists made presentations as part of the Expo's program.
More than 100 specialists of the agro-industrial complex interested in the presented projects came to visit the MIET stand.
Denis Novikov, a postgraduate student from the AMT Institute, spoke to them about the "Express analysis and detection of pollutants in the food and agricultural industry". And Ilya Efremov, an engineer at the MCS Institute, spoke about "Smart Farm".
Associate Professor of the AMT Institute Sergey Dubkov made a presentation "Epizootic safety in animal husbandry, modern solutions" at the Expo's round table. He spoke about using microelectronics technologies for early and reliable detection of various pathogens, which is the most rational way to reduce the risks of diseases among livestock.
He also spoke about the project called "Rapid analysis and detection of pollutants in the food and agricultural industry" and the plasmon sensor developed during its implementation. Sergey Dubkov pointed out the main features of the development which were the possibility of long-term storage, activation by widely available methods and self-purification. These features distinguish the presented project from the similar ones on the international market, the use of which is possible only in laboratory conditions.
Coordinator of the "Smart Farm" project Vladimir Zhmylev from the MCS Institute made a presentation during the seminar on the topic of "Overview of the market of mobile means of individual control of behavior and health of cattle". He outlined the problems of dairy farming, spoke about how to operate a cattle health monitoring system, its main characteristics, functions and components of the system, the stages of the project development, the pilot implementation of the system and the benefits for farmers from using it.
Last year, MIET was a part of the competition "Agros Best 2024" in the nomination "Best scientific development", where the winners are recognized as the most in-demand and adapted for the Russian market. The "Smart Farm" project developed at the NTI Competence center "Sensorica" won the Grand Prix and the winner's cup. The MIET's team received the cup during the opening ceremony.
