Vladimir Bespalov is the new director general of the Russian Science Foundation

The Rector of MIET Vladimir Bespalov has been officially appointed as the general director of the Russian Science Foundation. The decree of the President of the Russian Federation on the appointment is posted on the official site of legal information. The decree comes into force from the date of its signing.

"To appoint Vladimir Bespalov as the general director of the Russian Science Foundation for a period of five years," the document says.

Vladimir Bespalov is the rector and a graduate of MIET. In 1998-2008, he held the position of Vice-rector for Finance and Innovation. From 2008 to 2009, Vice-rector for Research and Innovation. Until 2016 – First vice-rector, and since 2016 – Rector of the University. He is a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as a member of the Council for Science and Education under the President of the Russian Federation.
