The First International Conference on Linguistics
On April 19, the First International Scientific and Practical Conference "Linguistics, Linguodidactics and Translation Studies: Present and Future" was held, organized by the Institute of Linguistic and Pedagogical Education.
The organizing committee was chaired by Mary Evdokimova, Director of the ILPE Institute. She noted that 125 applications were accepted for the conference, including 11 from doctors of sciences, 40 from candidates of sciences. "The conference was also attended by students, professors and secondary school teachers," Mary Evdokimova emphasized.
The conference was attended by speakers from 23 cities of Russia, as well as from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Mongolia.
The conference had four sections:
1. "The modern paradigm of linguistic research";
2. "Innovative trends in linguodidactics: approaches, methods, technologies and teaching practices";
3. "Prospects for the development of translation studies and translation didactics";
4. "The Russian language in the modern world".
The II International Scientific and Practical Conference will be held in April 2025.
The event was supported by the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank, the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University, the Taras Shevchenko State University of Tiraspol.
