3 new laboratories will be opened in MIET

The Ministry of Education and Science has allocated 3.2 billion rubles for the development of 200 new youth laboratories. These included three new laboratories led by young scientists from MIET:
1. Development of physical and technological foundations and creation of effective multi-sectional thermoelements for radioisotope thermoelectric generators designed for autonomous power supply of hard–to-reach territories, including the Northern Sea Route (head - Maxim Stern, associate professor of the Institute of Advanced Materials and Technologies).
2. Development of the principles of controlled formation and investigation of the properties of GCR-active nanostructures for nanophotonics and plasmon sensors (head – Sergey Dubkov, associate Professor of the Institute of Advanced Materials and Technologies).
3. Development of models and methods for automating the design of integrated circuits based on silicon nanotransistors (Head – Daria Ryzhova, assistant at the Institute of Integrated Electronics).
Most of the staff are young scientists under the age of 39.
