Young Scientists from MIET at IEEE EDM 2026

Young researchers from the Institute of Biomedical Systems (BMS) took part in the 27th International Conference of Young Specialists in Electronic Devices and Materials (IEEE EDM 2026). The event was held from June 27 to July 1 in the Altai Republic.

The conference brought together scientists from more than 20 countries, including China, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Belarus, and others. This year, the event set a new attendance record, gathering over 300 participants across 12 thematic sections devoted to the advancement of intelligent electronics, novel materials technologies, and medical devices.

Postgraduate students and students from the Biomedical Nanotechnologies Laboratory Anastasia Morozova, Evgenia Kuznetsova, and Ekaterina Otsupko presented their papers in the sections "Biomedical Electronics and Engineering" and "Materials Science":

• Formation of three‑dimensional conductive structures from carbon nanomaterial hybrids for flexible bio‑integrated sensors.

• Optimisation of ultrasonic treatment power for single‑walled carbon nanotubes to enhance the charge storage capacity of titanium neurostimulating electrodes with carbon coating.

• Determining the influence of laser printing parameters on the electrical conductivity of biocompatible encapsulating composites for implantable electrodes.

Following the conference results, Anastasia Morozova's paper was recognised as the best in its section, taking 1st place. The jury members noted the impressive depth of research and the high level of both experimental and theoretical work carried out. In their assessment, the presented study demonstrates serious scientific potential and meets the high standards of modern biomedical engineering.
