1. INRODUCTION
Area of professional activity of graduates who have graduated from master's programs of education field 11.04.02 «Infocommunication technologies and communication systems» includes a set of technologies, means, ways and methods of human activity aimed at creating conditions for exchanging information at a distance through wired, radio, optical systems, its processing and storage.
The graduates of the program easily find application for their skills, knowledge and development experience in international research and educational centers, the results of their work are being implemented at the industrial enterprises.
The program offers a combination of theoretical and practical compulsory courses with a specialization through the selection of profiles and additional disciplines to reflect the unique interests and abilities of each student, which allows you to gain knowledge in the design of information and info communication networks and systems, software radio, digital and mixed signal devices for telecommunications.
2. MISSION AND OBJECTIVES OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
2.1. Mission of the educational program
The mission of the educational program is to create conditions for the effective reproduction of scientific and research personnel in the field of information communications, ensuring the development of the scientific and economic potential of Russia.
2.2. Objectives of the educational program
The aim of the educational program is to prepare highly qualified graduates in the field of telecommunications, communication systems, information processing and transmission, supporting the generation, dissemination, application and preservation of scientific knowledge, ensuring innovative transformations of Russia, and developing the country's competitiveness in world high-tech markets.

Diploma of higher education at any level. Other requirements are established by the Rules for admission to the MIET for a particular academic year.

Types of graduates' professional tasks:
Scientific-research
Tasks of graduates' professional activity:
- development of work plans and programs for scientific research and technical development, selection of methods and means for problems solving, preparation of individual tasks for performers;
- collection, processing, analysis and systematization of scientific and technical information on the research topic, the choice of methods and means for problem solving;
- development of methods and organization of experiments and tests, analysis of their results;
- preparation of scientific and technical reports, reviews, publications based on the results of research;
- development of physical and mathematical models of the studied processes, phenomena and objects related to the professional sphere, creating of computer programs using both standard computer aided design and research packages, as well as those developed independently;
- fixation and protection of intellectual property;
- management of research results and commercialization of intellectual property rights.
4.3. Objects of graduates' professional activity
Objects of science and technology, which include a set of technologies, means, methods and methods of human activity aimed at creating conditions for the exchange of information at a distance, its processing and storage, including technological systems and technical means that ensure reliable and high-quality transmission, reception, processing and storage of various signs, signals, written text, images, sounds over wired, radio, optical systems, etc.
4.4. Planned results of mastering the educational program
As a result of mastering the program, the following competencies should be formed at the graduate:
Universal competencies (UC)
UC-1 Ability to carry out a critical analysis of problem situations based on a systematic approach, develop an action strategy;
UC-2 Ability to manage a project at all stages of its life cycle;
UC-3 Ability to organize and manage the work of the team, developing a team strategy to achieve the goal;
UC-4 Ability to apply modern communication technologies, including in a foreign language (s), for academic and professional interaction;
UC-5 Ability to analyze and take into account the diversity of cultures in the process of intercultural interaction;
UC-6 Ability to determine and implement the priorities of their own activities and ways to improve them on the basis of self-esteem;
General professional competencies (GPC)
GPC-1. Ability to present a modern scientific picture of the world, identify the natural science essence of the problem, formulate tasks, determine ways to solve them and evaluate the effectiveness of the choice and methods of legal protection of the results of intellectual activity;
GPC-2 Ability to implement new principles and research methods of modern infocommunication systems and networks of various types of transmission, distribution, processing and storage of information;
GPC-3 Ability to acquire, process and use new information in their subject area, offer new ideas and approaches to solving the problems of their professional activity;
GPC-4 Ability to develop and apply specialized mathematical software for conducting research and solving design and research problems.

Types of educational practice: research work (obtaining primary research work skills).
Types of manufacturing practice: research work, teaching practice, undergraduate practice.
State final certification: preparation for the defense procedure and defense of the final qualification work (master's theses).
