Student from InEl became a prize-winner of an international competition
Nikolay Zhegalov, a second year student from the Institute of Integrated Electronics (InEl), took second place in the International Student Olympiad in English. The competition took place from April 3 to April 12 in Moscow. The participants were students who didn't specialize in a foreign language.
The Olympiad had two rounds of level C1 difficulty according to the European scale: the first round consisted of online tasks on reading, listening, vocabulary and grammar, and the second one was on speaking among the winners of the previous round.
The competition had two formats: in teams and for individuals. A team from MIET included second-year student from "Information Security" Artyom Raifurak, graduate student from "Applied Informatics" Daniil Shishov and second-year student from "Electronics and Nanoelectronics" Nikolay Zhegalov. They recorded a video in English on the topic "My university: on the threshold of the future." The team leader was Naira Danielyan, professor at the Institute of Linguistic and Pedagogical Education.
Nikolay Zhegalov took part in both formats and became the silver medalist individually.
Congratulations!
