Chinese university delegations visit MIET
This May, two delegations from Chinese universities visited MIET to strengthen and expand cooperation in education.
On May 15, representatives of the Dalian Neusoft University of Information (DNUI) arrived on an official visit. Among them were Feng Shixuan, Deputy Director for International Education, and Yin Yilin, an employee of the Institute for International Education responsible for working with Russian students.
The Chinese colleagues met with Vice-Rector for Education Alexander Balashov, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education Valentin Slyusar, Head of the International Relations Department Irina Ponomareva, and Head of the Center for International Academic Relations Vlada Bykova. The universities' representatives expressed the mutual desire to develop cooperation. Together they also visited the laboratory of the Telecommunications Systems chair and discussed issues related to double degree programs. A substantive discussion on curricula, recruitment and training procedures will continue.
On May 22, MIET employees, headed by Rector Vladimir Bespalov, greeted a delegation from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, headed by its Rector Mr. Fu Menying. During the meeting, the guests of our university visited several laboratories, and after the rectors solemnly signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The events traditionally included presentations of universities, a tour of MIET and an exchange of memorable gifts.
