The Moscow Government awarded MIET's young scientists
Before the Russian Science Day, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova awarded young researchers the Moscow Government Prize.
Yuri Meleshin, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor and deputy director for education at the Institute of Microdevices and Control Systems, received an award for developing the payload of small spacecraft and ground segment equipment to provide high-speed Internet access.
Dmitry Telyshev, a professor at the Institute of Biomedical System, received an award for the development of special medical equipment that reduces mortality from cardiovascular diseases. The work was carried out on the basis of Sechenov University.
Nikolay Shubin, associate professor at the Institute of Integrated Electronics, an employee of the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was awarded for his research "Phenomena of interaction of resonances as a tool for quantum design of promising elements of molecular electronics and photonics."
In total, 50 prizes of 2 million rubles were awarded.
The competition for the Moscow Government Prize has been held since 2013. Every year, the award is given for outstanding results in scientific research in the field of natural, technical, medical and humanitarian sciences, for the development and implementation of new technologies, machinery, equipment, materials and substances. Young scientists from Moscow under the age of 35 and doctors of sciences under the age of 40 can apply.
